RJ Goal Planning & Monitoring® will help you visualize your retirement by personally engaging in the financial process and is used as a guidepost to begin an enduring relationship with us. In order to start the financial process, we will work together with you to make sure that the most accurate financial information is included to ensure confidence. This information is displayed in RJ Goal Planning & Monitoring® after we have an honest conversation about hopes, dreams, desires, and fears. This information could include current salary if set up before retirement, current or future expenses, savings, and current investments. We will also add information about Social Security and/or pensions to see how much will need to be drawn from saved assets.
Following the input of this information, we will review how much has already been saved for retirement. From here, we will find ways to make the most of your resources and provide you with probability analysis, which will be displayed to you on RJ Goal Planning & Monitoring®. Together, we will look at how different scenarios could affect your goals and plans. By running various tests that account for market fluctuations, inflation, and your health; we are better positioned to get a realistic expectation of what your retirement might look like. For example, we can see how retiring a year later or waiting to draw Social Security might improve the probability of achieving your goals. You can also input various scenarios on your own time using interactive features on RJ Goal Planning & Monitoring®, like PlayZone® and What Are You Afraid Of?®. These tests will help us see what adjustments (if any) should be made in real life in order to increase the probability of financial security. We will circle back with you to review the outputs of the system and ensure that we have a deep understanding of your wants, needs and current situation. RJ Goal Planning & Monitoring® is used in conjunction with Riskalyze, explained in our previous article here, to ensure a risk level that you’re comfortable with.
